Sabres snap skid; Yankees shortstop undergoes surgery

The Sabres are no longer winless. Buffalo outscored the Senators 8-4 on Wednesday. After the game, Sabres left winger Jason Zucker said it was “great” to get the win. The victory snapped Buffalo’s three-game losing streak.

The Rangers visit the Maple Leafs tonight at 7 p.m. New York enters the matchup with an overall record of 2-3.

The Cornell men’s hockey team is preparing for a scrimmage against Czech University Selects. The game begins at 8 p.m. on Friday. WHCU no longer broadcasts Cornell hockey.

Five straight losses for the Ithaca College men’s soccer team. The Bombers fell to St. Lawrence 2-1 on Wednesday.

The SUNY Cortland women’s soccer team is on a four-game win streak. The Red Dragons beat Fredonia 2-0 on Wednesday. Cortland goalie Olivia Rouse had four saves in the win.

No luck for the TC3 women’s soccer team. The Panthers lost to Mohawk Valley 9-0 on Wednesday.

Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe had surgery on his left shoulder on Tuesday. The New York Post reports Volpe’s status for the start of next season is in doubt.
