CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — Paul Sandy has retired as Cortland’s police chief.
On Facebook, Mayor Scott Steve described Sandy as an ‘integral part’ of the city.
Sandy’s service to the Cortland Police Department began in 1985. The mayor says Chief Sandy served with ‘dedication, integrity, and a commitment to making Cortland a safer place for all of us.’
The city launched a search for Sandy’s replacement in July.
