WATKINS GLEN, NY (607NewsNow) – There’s a new place to get healthy treats for your pet in the Village of Watkins Glen.

After several years of attending local farmers’ markets, Singing Dog Bakery opened a dedicated storefront downtown earlier this month.

The shop specializes in all-natural, handmade dog treats free of wheat, soy, corn, and preservatives. The shop also has products for cats. Owner Juanita Knight began baking the treats as a side hustle in the 90s while working as an elementary school music teacher in Florida.

Knight tells WENY-TV she won’t be able to set up at all the markets like in years past, but she will maintain a spot at the Windmill in Penn Yan.
