State Police investigating fatal crash in Virgil

VIRGIL, NY (607NewsNow) – An investigation is underway after a fatal accident in Virgil.

On July 8, State Police were called to Page Green Road near State Route 392 around 11:45 a.m. for a one-vehicle crash.

Troopers say a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 was traveling south when it exited the roadway for an unknown reason and hit an embankment. Nobody else was in the truck.

The driver was taken to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, where they later died. Their identification is being withheld pending notification of family.

The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
