Study: Storefront vacancy rate in Ithaca falls from 2025

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Ithaca’s business vacancy rate is down.

Nan Rohrer, CEO of the Downtown Ithaca Alliance, tells 607 News Now research in the newly-released retail study shows the number of empty storefronts sat around 16 percent in August 2025.

So far in 2026, over half a dozen businesses have opened downtown, Rohrer said.
