CORNING, NY (607NewsNow) – Corning Community College has a new leader.

On November 14, Dr. Terence Finley was appointed as the 8th president of the 2-year school by the SUNY Board of Trustees in New York City.

Finley brings nearly a quarter-century of experience in corporate and higher education sectors. He currently serves as VP and COO of Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Finely takes over for Administrator in Charge Kim Frock, who has been leading Corning since June after the departure of former President William Mullaney. Mullaney left to become president of Rockland Community College.

Finley, an upstate New York native and SUNY Brockport undergrad, will begin on January 2, 2026.
