SYRACUSE, NY (607NewsNow) — The Syracuse football team wants to retain key players.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Syracuse Head Coach Fran Brown said money won’t be an issue.

“We’re gonna do a real good job when it comes to fundraising, and all the things that are needed for us to be able to compete in this conference,” Brown said.

According to a recent report from ESPN, the top running backs in college football typically earn between $300,000 and $800,000 per year. Edge rushers typically earn $500,000–$1.2 million.

So far this season, Syracuse is 0-4 against ACC opponents. The conference includes the University of Miami, which is currently ranked #1 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
