OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) — Tioga County Administrator Jackson Bailey says a 911 radio tower project remains a work in progress.

Bailey tells 607 New Now the project saw a busy couple of months at the end of 2025.

When it’s in operation, Bailey says the towers would vastly improve the county’s 911 call system.

Bailey hopes to have equipment purchased and the new system operational before the start of 2027.
