NICHOLS, NY (607NewsNow) — A search has ended for a girl in Tioga County. 

The Nichols Volunteer Fire Department says 8-year-old Amelia Lawrence has been located.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped, shared information, kept Amelia in their thoughts, and supported the efforts to bring her home,” officials said.

Amelia was reported missing in Nichols late Monday afternoon. Hundreds of people went out yesterday to find her. Officials say they’re ‘incredibly grateful’ for all the help.
