ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – State Senator Lea Webb seeks nominees for the New York State Senate’s annual Youth Leadership Recognition award.

Teachers and administrators from schools in Senate District 52 can nominate sophomores, juniors, and seniors who excel in academics, extracurricular activities, and volunteer activities.

“I’m proud to launch the Youth Leadership Recognition Award Program to celebrate the dedication, leadership, and service of students across Senate District 52,” said Webb. “So many young people are excelling not only in the classroom but also through volunteerism and extracurricular involvement that strengthens their schools and communities.  This program is one small way to recognize their hard work, uplift their achievements, and encourage them to continue leading with purpose.”

District 52 includes Tompkins, Cortland, and parts of Broome Counties. All nominations must be submitted here by February 28, 2026.
